46th House District Benefits from IDOT’s Massive Highway
Improvement Plan
April 20, 2007
Springfield …
Representative Reboletti’s legislative district would benefit with over $220
million in new highway projects under a proposed six-year Illinois
Department of Transportation (IDOT) highway improvement plan. IDOT’s plan
would utilize federal, state and some local transportation funds for
maintaining and expanding existing roadways.
“The infrastructure of our roadways are crucial to improving the fiscal
health of our state. I’m happy to see that IDOT has included roads in my
district that are in desperate need of repair and in some cases expansion to
ease traffic congestion,” Reboletti said.
Area projects slated under the proposed IDOT Highway Improvement Program
include:
• Resurfacing from Walnut St to Emerson Ave on Irving Park Rd
• Land acquisition, additional lanes and bridge replacement from the
Elgin-O’Hare Expressway to Army Trail Rd on IL 53
• Land acquisition from North Ave to Roosevelt Rd on IL 53
• Land acquisition, additional lanes and bridge rehabilitation from North
Ave to St. Charles Rd on IL 53
