General Assembly Scholarships

Representative Dennis M. Reboletti (R-Elmhurst) is currently accepting
applications for Illinois General Assembly Scholarships to be awarded for
the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 semesters.
“College can put a real burden on
students and their parents’ finances, which is why I’m honored to be able to
offer eight students of the 46th District a scholarship to cover
tuition,” said Reboletti.
To be eligible for the
scholarships, students must reside within the 46th District which
includes portions of Bensenville, Itasca, Wood Dale, Addison (East of Route
53), Elmhurst, Lombard and Villa Park.
The scholarships can be used at
the following state-supported universities: Chicago State, Eastern Illinois,
Governors State, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Northeastern Illinois,
Southern Illinois in Carbondale and Edwardsville, the University of Illinois
and Western Illinois.
An application can be picked up
from the representative’s office at 50 E. Oak St., Suite 250, Addison or can
be requested by phone and mailed. Applicants must submit the completed
application, three letters of recommendation, high school and college
transcripts along with a brief statement about their community involvement.
Applications are due by Monday,
April 2.
